How to resize a photo to 200 x 230 pixels

  1. Press Choose image and select your photo.
  2. The size is already set to 200 x 230 pixels, with Crop to fit ticked and JPEG as the output, so your picture is cut from the centre instead of being stretched.
  3. Press Resize & Download.
  4. If the file is still bigger than your form allows, open Compress image to 50 KB and compress it.

Many online forms ask for a passport-size photo of 200 x 230 pixels. If your form asks for another size, type your own width and height. Crop from the centre works best when the face is in the middle of the photo; if your face is off-centre, crop the photo in your gallery first.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a photo to 200 x 230 pixels?

Choose your photo. The size is already set to 200 x 230 pixels. Press Resize and Download to get a JPG of exactly that size.

Will my photo be stretched?

No. Crop to fit is ticked, so the photo is scaled and cut from the centre to fill 200 x 230 pixels. Untick it only if you want the whole picture squeezed into that size.

My form also asks for a size in KB. What should I do?

After resizing, compress the new photo with the Image Compressor and set the target size your form asks for, such as 20 KB or 50 KB.

Can I use another size?

Yes. Type any width and height in pixels, up to 12000, before pressing Resize and Download.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo is resized inside your browser and never leaves your device.
