Compress Image to 100 KB

Choose your photo and get a JPG under 100 KB.

Your files are processed in this browser. An internet connection may be needed to load QR/PDF libraries.

How to compress an image to 100 KB

  1. Press Choose image and select your photo (JPG, PNG or WebP).
  2. The target size is already set to 100 KB. You can change it if your form asks for something else.
  3. Press Compress & Download.
  4. Check the new size shown on the page. The file is saved as a JPG under 100 KB.

100 KB is a more comfortable limit. A typical photo can usually be brought under 100 KB by lowering the JPEG quality, and often keeps most of its sharpness. Large phone photos may also be reduced in pixel size so that they fit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I compress an image to 100 KB?

Choose your photo, keep the target size at 100 KB and press Compress and Download. The tool searches for the best quality that stays at or under 100 KB and saves the result as a JPG.

Will the file be exactly 100 KB?

No. The tool finds the largest quality that stays at or under 100 KB, so the file is usually a little smaller than 100 KB, never above it.

Why did my picture also become smaller in pixels?

If lowering the quality alone cannot reach 100 KB, the tool also reduces the width and height. This is needed for large phone photos. If your form asks for exact pixels, use the Image Resizer first.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is compressed inside your browser and is never sent to a server.

Can I use it for a photo, ID or certificate image?

Yes. Many exam, job and government forms set a maximum size in KB for photos and signatures. Always follow the size and format your form asks for.

Photo ko 100 KB mein kaise badlein?

Photo chunein, target size 100 KB rakhein aur Compress and Download dabayein. Naya size page par dikhega. Photo aapke browser mein hi compress hoti hai, kahin upload nahi hoti.
